I am a 73 year old male. I have had numerous health issues for the past several years including celiac disease which resulted in mal-absorption issues. I had lost a considerable amount of weight and was down to approximately 160 pounds. I was becoming weak and unable to do many activities due to fatigue. This past summer, after undergoing routine blood tests, my doctor referred me to a hematologist. Tests showed I had macro-cytic anemia meaning I was lacking the normal number of red blood cells.
